A Brief History of Misinformation

Aotearoa New Zealand, just like most other nations, has been flooded with misinformation since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Misinformation is false, inaccurate, or misleading information that is mistakenly or accidentally created or spread.

However, misinformation has the ability to cause harm if people start to believe it is true.

So when you are seeking information, particularly online, it is important that you check it against trustworthy sources.

Here you can follow our whānau as they visit a museum to see an exhibition called ‘A Brief History of Misinformation’.
