MELBOURNE, 27 April 2021: The Indian High Commission, Canberra has responded to a story in ‘The Australian'(April 25, 2021) ‘Modi leads India into viral apocalypse’ about the devastating second COVID wave as being “baseless, malicious, slanderous”. The story by Philip Sherwell described India’s latest Carona surge as a consequence of “Arrogance, hyper-nationalism, and bureaucratic incompetence have combined to create a crisis of epic proportions in India, with its crowd-loving PM basking while citizens suffocate.”
