MELBOURNE,14 October 2022: Bupa today officially unveiled its new tiered rewards and loyalty program with customers gaining access to hundreds of retailers, entertainment, travel, and dining discounts and offers – and access to members-only competitions.

The loyalty program is the first of its kind for a large health insurer to offer a rewards store, discounts and experiences. The wide-ranging program offers discounts of up to 10 percent on more than 100 eGift cards spanning across supermarket, fashion, home entertainment, department stores, petrol, home, streaming services, and at more than 300 restaurants nationally.

Life Rewards comprises five membership tiers with elevated offers unlocked the longer a member is with Bupa.

The savings continue with members receiving discounts when shopping from more than 250 popular brands via the Life Rewards eStore and collect Life Dollars, which can be spent on future purchases.

Bupa Health Insurance Managing Director Chris Carroll said: “We listened to our members and designed our new loyalty program around what they told us they wanted – to be rewarded for their loyalty to Bupa and to have everyday savings from big retailers as part of their health insurance membership.”

“We’ve supercharged our rewards offering with an enviable mix of brands so our members have access to a wider range of discounts and earn money just for spending at everyday retailers. We’re also recognising members who have been with Bupa for a long time with access to money can’t buy experiences, including concerts, events and chefs at their own kitchen table.”

Following the soft launch of Life Rewards in mid-September Mr. Carroll said members had already saved thousands of dollars on their purchases.

“So far, our eGift card discounts have been our most popular reward offers, with many members choosing to save on their supermarket shops and fuel helping take some pressure off everyday family budgets,” he said.

“We know people are facing cost of living pressures and Life Rewards is one of the ways we can help our members realise more value from their health insurance.

“We know Australian consumers are time poor and our loyalty program was designed to be relevant to our members’ needs and easy to use so they can maximise savings.”
