RACV Melbourne Diwali 2024 gears up for 26 Oct.,2024

MELBOURNE, 18 September, 2024: Melbourne Diwali has announced a transformative partnership with the RACV, rebranding the much-loved festival as RACV Melbourne Diwali for 2024.

This partnership reflects the shared vision and commitment of both organisations to deliver a vibrant, engaging, and inclusive festival that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of India whilst embracing Melbourne’s diverse community.

RACV Melbourne Diwali 2024 is a free event that will take place on 26 October 2024 at Marvel Stadium Square, offering a day filled with culture, entertainment, and celebration.

As part of this exciting collaboration, RACV Melbourne Diwali 2024 will feature several enhancements, making this year’s festival the largest and most immersive celebration yet. Highlights include expanded floor space for greater enjoyment and engagement, more giveaways, additional exhibitors and a range of festive stalls to delight visitors of all ages.

RACV Executive General Manager Mark Geraghty said RACV is proud to partner with Melbourne Diwali to celebrate and support Victoria’s vibrant Indian community.

Melbourne Diwali Chief Executive Officer Anna Bhardwaj said the new partnership with RACV underscores Melbourne Diwali’s dedication to bringing new opportunities for fun, culture, and connection to the city whilst aligning with RACV’s commitment to supporting community-focused events.

“The rebranding to RACV Melbourne Diwali reflects the vision of both organisations to create an inclusive, world-class celebration that everyone in Melbourne can enjoy,” said Ms Bhardwaj.

Ahead of the main festival, RACV Melbourne Diwali will host two exciting pre-Diwali events:

  1. 1 October 2024: A Meet and Greet for Sponsors and Stakeholders, hosted at the prestigious RACV Club. This exclusive, invitation-only event will provide an opportunity for sponsors, stakeholders, and key supporters to network and collaborate ahead of the festival.   2. 23 October 2024: The unveiling of Australia’s largest ‘Happy Diwali’ illuminated sign on Harbour Esplanade, celebrating the festival of lights in grand style. This stunning installation, supported by the City of Melbourne, will serve as a symbol of cultural pride and community unity, lighting up Melbourne in anticipation of the main event.
