‘Sarva Dharma Stupa’ in Kurukshetra a symbol of unity

KURUKSHETRA, Haryana, India, 10 February 2023: Attending a Hindu marriage here has created plenty of memories. During the traditional visit to a temple by the bridegroom party on way to the bride’s place, took me to an unusual site at the Sai temple complex, quite unexpected. A ‘sarva dharma (all religions)  stupa (a pillar with a message) on the right side of the temple had the symbols of all religions in India.

The brass plaque on it reads – ” Aum Sri Sai Ram SARVA DHARMA STUPA inaugurated by HON’BLE SH. J. RATNAKAR member of SSS Central Trust (P.N.) on Sunday 15 November, 2017…”

I wonder how many people in the area have noticed the stupa.

Even the temple front has all the symbols of India’s  different religions. It was time to be in our car of the ‘barat’ convoy.

And, we pushed ahead along with others embedded with memories of a find giving the message of unity.
